Aromi Cambridge
If you find yourself doing a tour of the colleges in Cambridge and fancying a quick bite to eat for lunch, then this is where you need to go: Aromi. They’re an independent café that prepare and cook authentic Sicilian food. They also do ice cream (bonus)!

The cafe is tucked away on Bene’t Street, just next to the busy King’s Parade in front of King’s College. The cafe was very busy so we went to their gelateria, which is just around the corner on Peas Hill. They also had lots of yummy pastries, focaccias and pizzas there so we didn’t feel like we were missing out too much. We got seats straight away, which from I’ve read does not happen very often when you go to the cafe on Bene’t Street. It was a lovely day and they had opened the windows at the front so we got to seat at the counter, soaking up the sunshine, watching the world go by and savouring our lunch. I love seating at a counter, as you can probably gather from the grin on my face. Or maybe that was because of the food. I had the most amazing focaccia bread with prosciutto and Rich had a spinach, mozzarella and tomato goodness wrapped in pastry.

We left coffee in hand, happy and well-fed, ready to resume our visit of the beautiful colleges.

If you fancy popping by for lunch, you’ll find them at: 1 Bene’t Street, Cambridge CB2 3QN or 3 Peas Hill,  Cambridge, CB2 3PP if like us you go to the gelateria. Aromi.co.uk

Everything looks so delicious! I also like the idea of sitting & eating at the counter with the window wide open…it's like you're half-inside/half-outside…best of both cafe worlds 😉
